Darren Pinder

Owner

Darren founded Vatu in 2008 and has been the driving force behind the day-to-day development work at the company.

Darren’s background is technical in nature, with experience in website design and development, digital marketing, and exhibition marketing. He is a fan of reading, running, coffee, and is often found with his kids toddling around the office.

Mike Bragg

Engineering Director

Mike has been designing and developing websites for over 15 years, focusing on WordPress and WooCommerce for the past 7 years.

Alongside being a self taught developer, Mike holds a 1st class degree in Visual Communication and is an amateur photographer. Mike is learning bookbinding and box building, a West Brom season ticket holder, Warley RFC committee member, and guardian to Charlie the Labrador.

Joe Cooper

Senior Software Engineer

Joe is a software developer who has spent the last 13 years building things for the web and chasing a passion for continuous learning. After years of changing venues weekly as a full-time traveler, he has finally traded the suitcase for a finely tuned home workstation – powered heavily by coffee.

Joe shares his workspace with his cat, who acts as a living rubber duck to bounce architecture ideas off of, even if her feedback mostly consists of silent judgment and tactical keyboard naps.

Jon Benham

Technical Support Engineer

After starting his career in retail, Jon moved into the world of digital agencies and has since spent nearly eight years providing technical support and development for clients and WordPress websites. More recently, he has expanded his role into project management alongside this.

Jon is an avid Reading FC fan and a keen gamer. He enjoys getting out and about, whether that’s running, playing football, or walking his dog, Bowie. He is also a committee member at his local social club.
